The Canaan Kitchen

“The work and support that the OK Foundation provide[s] to Haringey’s vulnerable residents is really valuable. The increasing numbers of people sleeping rough and relying on food banks is a concern. Fortunately, there are people who are determined to do all they can to support people who are going through difficult times and ensure they get a hot meal and advice that everyone deserves.” – Joanne McCartney, London Assembly Member for Enfield and Haringey, and Deputy Mayor of London

Every Saturday evening our kitchen doors swing open to welcome up to 60 men and women from across Tottenham, Haringey and other parts of London too. We serve 3-course home cooked meals that are freshly prepared on site by our talented chefs and volunteers.

At Canaan Kitchen, we understand the pressures and struggles that those who use our services face. So, we go the extra mile to provide a warm and safe space where people are treated with dignity and can relax and escape the pressures they face outside. Meals are accompanied by uplifting live music performed by our talented singers and band. Our skilled team also provides advice, support and workshops on a range of issues from managing addiction to employment, skills training, family matters and accommodation.

Cook & Eat Course

Strong and resilient families are built around the dinner table. That is why we started the Cook & Eat Course in 2015: to help members of the community learn to prepare healthy, affordable, and, most importantly, delicious dishes with staple ingredients. Led by a team of professional chefs, our course gives participants an opportunity to meet other members of the community while building confidence in their cooking skills and knowledge. Our chefs also answer questions and provide advice on nutrition, allergies, as well as cooking for children and people with diabetes and other health conditions.

Group & Corporate Events

Our cookery courses are great options for team-building, away day, corporate or group activities. We also run bespoke cookery and healthy living workshops. We can deliver our courses at your location too. Whatever your requirements, feel free to get in touch with us.

Our food programmes are run at Unit 1, Tottenham Green Workshops, 2 Somerset Road, London N17 9EJ. For enquiries contact us at (info@okfoundation.org), 07852 691 580
